Leaving the tranquil landscapes of Uri behind, our expedition took an unexpected turn as we ventured into the heart of the Kaman Camp in Jammu and Kashmir, under the watchful eyes of army escorts. The air crackled with tension as we approached the famous Kaman Sethu, a bridge stretching across troubled waters, serving as a precarious link between India and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir (PoK).

As we walked along the bridge, our host, a smartly dressed army man sporting sunglasses, narrated the contemporary history of the region.
